Multi-purpose mod tool for GTA V
OpenIV GTA Mod is a game utility application developed by GTA 5 Mods. Free to download and use, this app is a modification program for game modding. Using this, you can open game directories and make a ton of changes without disturbing the game source.
As with the name, OpenIV GTA Mod is mostly used for Grand Theft Auto V. However, you can also use it with other games, including Grand Theft Auto IV, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Episodes from Liberty City. Although, the program is not immune to bugs and may sometimes crash mid-use.

The program requires the internet to download files of 20MB. After installation, users can open it from the desktop or the start menu. To open it on GTA 5, first, open the app and locate the game from the options. Hover over GTA 5 and select on Windows button. Then, click on browse and find your directory. Finally, select the GTA V folder and hit the Select Folder button.
For a wide range of apps
Besides modifying the base game, OpenIV GTA Mod is also great for installing modern mods. It works well with various GTA 5 mods, such as the Redux Mod, resulting in a smooth performance. As noted, you can also use the program across four different games:
- Max Payne 3
- Red Redemption 2 (RDR2)
- Grand Theft Auto IV (GTAIV)
- Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City.
One concern about the mod is the lack of translation and localization for other languages. In the event that this mod isn't available in your language, you only need to follow these steps:
- Find the Localization Files in your OpenIV folder
- Using a text editor, syntax highlight recommended, edit and validate the XML files in the aforementioned folder.
- For the LIP.xml file, you only need to set the correct language ID name for the language you wish to translate it to.
Modders or localization teams are encouraged to reupload their works to be used by other players using the same language.
